Enable and create custom widgets in myCourses
You can create your own Custom Widgets to display important text, links, images and videos on your Course Home page.
To create a Custom Widget:
Select Course Admin from the course Navigation Bar.
Select Widgets.
Select Create Widget.
Enter a Name for your widget.
(Optional) Enter a Description. This description only appears in the Manage Widgets page and is not visible to students.
Select the Content tab and use the textbox to add the text, images, etc. that you want to display in the widget. The Insert Stuff button allows you to embed videos, images or links to files and web pages. See the Use textboxes in myCourses article for more information.
Select Save and Close.
To add the widget to your Course Home page, see the Customize your course home page(s) with widgets in myCourses article.
After you have added the widget to your Course Home page, you can edit the widget by selecting the down arrow beside its name and selecting Edit this widget.
