View the submission log for an assignment
The Submission log page for an assignment displays when students started to submit the assignment (i.e., uploaded a file) and subsequently completed the submission. It also shows if you accidentally deleted a submission and allows you to restore it.
Go to main Assignments page.
Click the arrow beside the name of an assignment and select Submission log. The Submission log page for the assignment will appear.
Use the Submitted, Deleted, Restored, and Started filters to narrow down your search.
(Optional) Click Restore to restore any deleted submissions.
Download submissions for an assignment
After students submit assignments, you can download all submissions from myCourses in a .zip file for offline grading. All files are renamed with a unique ID number to allow bulk uploading of feedback.
Go to the main Assignments page.
Click the name of an assignment that has student submissions.
Select 200 from the per page drop-down menu in the top-right corner of the list of submissions.
Select the checkbox in the top-left corner of the list to select all submissions (OR select the checkbox beside each submission you want to download).
Click Download at the top of the list.
In the pop-up window that appears, click the link to open or download the .zip file to your computer.
Move or copy the files from the .zip folder (or extract/unzip it Windows | Mac) to a folder on your computer.
If you are planning to download, annotate and upload the files back to myCourses, do not remove or modify the numbers at the beginning of the file names. These numbers are necessary when you are bulk uploading the assignment feedback to myCourses.
