Manage assignments in myCourses
This article covers how to hide, reorder, and delete categories and assignments.
Hide assignments
Hide a single assignment
Click the arrow beside an assignment and select Hide from users.
Hide multiple assignments
Select the checkbox beside each assignment you want to hide.
Click More actions and select Hide from users.
To allow students to view the assignment(s) again, repeat the above actions and select Make visible to users.
Create a category
On the main Assignments page, click Edit categories.
Click Add category.
Enter a category name and click Create.
You can also create a category when creating or editing an existing assignment by clicking on the Category drop-down list under the Submission & Completion tab.
Reorder assignments and categories
Reorder assignments
On the main Assignments page, click More Actions > Reorder.
Select a new Sort Order from the drop-down menus.
Click Save.
Reorder categories
On the main Assignments page, click Edit Categories.
Click on the Sort Order to change it.
Click Close.
Delete assignments and categories
Delete an assignment
On the main Assignments page, select the checkbox beside each assignment you want to delete.
Click More Actions > Delete.
In the pop-up window that appears, click Delete Assignment.
OR
Click the arrow beside an assignment and select Delete Assignment.
Delete an assignment category
Assignments in the category will not be deleted. They will be moved under No Category.
On the main Assignments page, click on Edit Categories.
Check the box next to the category you wish to remove and click on at the top of the list.
Click on Close.
Restore an assignment
Restoring a deleted assignment will also restore all submissions and attached feedback.
On the main Assignments page, click More Actions, and select Event Log.
Click Restore beside the deleted assignment.
