Recommendations for setting up Polling @ McGill using Slido

1	Before your class
	Consider the engagement activities (e.g., Question types, Q&A) you would like to include in your event (i.e., course lecture). Then: Create an event Choose a name or event code Modify the Privacy Settings to suit your teaching needs Consider whether participation will be tracked or anonymous. Ensure the polls are available for the correct date and time Share polls with other instructors or TAs When teaching multiple sections with other instructors, it is possible to pool and share questions. Create polls Practice and test your event Reset your event Duplicate your event Duplicating your event may be helpful when teaching multiple sections of the same course. Choose how to run the event by reviewing the requirements and advantages of these options: Internet browser Slido Switcher PowerPoint integration (for PC only)
2	During your class
	Share polls with students as participants Use the Q&A tool
3	After your class
	You can download polling results and share them with your students via myCourses. If you are tracking participation, you can download the results and upload them to the myCourses gradebook. View and share the results (as a .pdf in myCourses) Download and export participation results to myCourses
