Polling @ McGill
As of September 1st, 2025, Slido will no longer be available for use at McGill. Vevox is replacing Slido as McGill’s official polling tool and is available for immediate use. Read more about Polling @ McGill with Vevox.
Slido is an easy-to-use Q&A and polling platform for live, online and blended courses, meetings, events, and webinars. It allows you to:
Keep your students engaged with live polls, quizzes, and interactive Q&A, all without downloading apps or leaving your slide presentation.
Use live polls or quizzes to check if your students are keeping up with the lecture.
Alleviate students’ fear of asking questions in front of the class.
Ask students for feedback with simple surveys, and see how your students vote and participate over time.
To log in, go to Slido. Click on the Log in button in the top-right section of the page. Select Log in with Webex, and enter your McGill credentials.

While this resource is accessible worldwide, McGill University is on land which has served and continues to serve as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. Teaching and Learning Services acknowledges and thanks the diverse Indigenous peoples whose footsteps mark this territory on which peoples of the world now gather. This land acknowledgment is shared as a starting point to provide context for further learning and action.
