Run a session via the Vevox dashboard using Present mode
Vevox sessions are run directly from the dashboard, and allow you to run an event while showing the results to your students when sharing your screen. It has a control panel that allows easy poll management without the need for a secondary screen or device.
To use Present mode:
Log into Vevox by selecting Log in with Microsoft, and enter your McGill credentials.
Select the session you would like to run and click on the Present fullscreen button in panel in the right-hand side of your window. Your session will begin and a QR code and alternative instructions to join will be displayed. You can share the screen with your students and ask them to join the event.
To start the poll, hover over the Present mode slide. A control panel will appear. Click on the Play button to open the first poll.

While a poll is open, the Play button is replaced with a Stop button, which you can click end the poll.
When a poll has ended, the Stop button is replaced with a Next button. Click this button to move to the next poll.
Control panel options in Present mode

The Q&A tab allows you to manage and moderate the session’s Q&A. This tab is divided into three sections.
1. At the top of the window is the first section, which contains the overall settings for the Q&A:

On: This dropdown list allows you to toggle between the following settings for your Q&A:
On: Participants can view the Q&A board and send or like messages.
Pause: Participants can view the Q&A board, but cannot send or like messages.
Off: Participants cannot view the Q&A board.
Labels: create, edit, or delete labels that can be applied to questions.
Moderation: Turn Q&A moderation on or off, and create a moderator link which can shared with dedicated Q&A moderators.
Share: Create a shareable, read-only display of any of the Q&A message lists to share with others, such as panelists and facilitators.
2. The second section displays the Q&A’s announcement window.

Click Manage and publish announcements to select from a suggested list of messages or create your own.
