Run a Polling @ McGill event from PowerPoint

Slido is McGill’s polling tool. You can integrate Slido with PowerPoint to create live polls, quiz competitions, or Q&A sessions directly in your slides.

Slido for PowerPoint only works with Windows 10 and later, and Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 and later.

Install Slido for PowerPoint plugin (PC)

  1. Download the Slido application.

  2. Install the application on your computer.

  3. Launch the application.

    1. You will see a pop-up window in the bottom-right corner of the screen confirming Slido is ready.

  4. Open PowerPoint and you will see a Slido button appear in the Home tab. If the Slido button is not present, restart PowerPoint.

Add polls to your presentation (PC)

  1. Select the Slido button on the Home tab to open the Slido sidebar.

  2. Create a new event or add polls from an existing event.

  3. Select the type of live poll you wish to add to your presentation.

  4. Fill out the required fields.

  5. Click Add to Presentation to add the poll to the presentation as a slide.

Control your Slido event

  • Slido for PowerPoint only works with Windows 10 and later, and Microsoft PowerPoint 2013 and later.

  • Mac users can use the three-finger swipe to switch from their PowerPoint presentation to their Slido event.

  • Watch the live polling for PowerPoint video tutorial provided by Slido.

Start your PowerPoint presentation. The polls will automatically appear on your question slides and update in real time.
