Blind grade in myCourses
Blind grading is a method of assessment in which the student's name is hidden from the instructor while grading an assignment. This article explains how you can activate blind grading in myCourses by using the Role Switch widget.
Due to technical reasons, this option is currently only available for users with the Instructor role.
Blind grade assignments
Go to your course in myCourses that contains the assignments you want to grade.
In the Role Switch widget, select Blind Grader and click Change Role. You will notice that certain links on your Navigation Bar, such as the Classlist, have disappeared.
Follow the steps in Assess assignments in myCourses. All student names will appear as Anonymous User; email options will be temporarily inaccessible, and profile pictures will appear blank.
When finished grading, use the Role Switch widget to change your role back to Instructor.
Blind grade quizzes
Click the arrow next to the quiz you want to grade. Click Grade and go to the Questions tab.
Under Grade individual responses select Hide learners’ names.
Proceed to grade the Quiz by question.
