Configure comments and grades in Crowdmark
Create a comment library
Sign into the Crowdmark portal via myCourses.
Open the comment library by selecting your course question list, then selecting Manage comment library. You will only see your questions after they are distributed to the students.
Select the book icon in the top-left corner of a question and then select Add comment. If you want to share your comments with other graders, select Share with team above the question.
Enter the comment text and points (Positive and Negative) and then select Save.
Repeat this process to create more rubric points.
Grade with comments
You will be able to see student responses and start grading only once all students have submitted an assessment.
Select the question library for your course and then select the Comments toolbar.
Drag a comment onto the student’s work; points will be automatically added or deducted.
Export grades to myCourses
Once you have distributed an assessment and graded the responses:
In the assessment, select the Results tab.
Select Export grades to myCourses. The grades will be automatically transferred to your course gradebook.

While this resource is accessible worldwide, McGill University is on land which has served and continues to serve as a site of meeting and exchange amongst Indigenous peoples, including the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabeg nations. Teaching and Learning Services acknowledges and thanks the diverse Indigenous peoples whose footsteps mark this territory on which peoples of the world now gather. This land acknowledgment is shared as a starting point to provide context for further learning and action.
