Strategies from McGill instructors (table version)

How can you design assessment tasks that enhance students’ learning and motivation to learn? Take a look at these examples from McGill instructors for inspiration. Note that the assessment tasks can be adapted for implementation in courses taught on campus, in a blended manner, and fully online.

Please note the following when accessing the example strategies in the table below:

  • For the most user-friendly experience, we recommend viewing the table in full-screen mode. Activate full-screen mode using the double arrow button at the bottom-right of the table:

  • Click on an instructor’s portrait to open the full strategy.

  • To exit full-screen mode:

    • Press the Esc key on your keyboard (Windows),

    • Press Control + Command + F on your keyboard (MacOS),

    • Or click the new button that appears at the bottom-right of the table to exit full-screen mode:
